The early beginning... Terlet is founded in 1917 by J.W. Terlet. Mr Terlet started the company in Zutphen, situated in the eastern part of the Netherlands. At that time an agricultural area.
In the early years mainly equipment for dairy products was manufactured. Pasteurisation tanks and butter shapers belonged to the first range of Terlet. The first customers were little dairy plants and private farmers situated in the surrounding area Zutphen. Mr. Terlet offered its customers innovative high quality products. Before World War II this philosophy resulted in the first export orders for Terlet.
The years after...
1950 - 1960 | Over the years, Terlet became more and more a specialist in the dairy industry, first regional but in the fifties more and more on a national level.
1960 - 1970 | Terlet expanded its product range and customers. Next to the dairy market, the food market became an important part of Terlet's business.
1970 - 1980 | The Terlet philosophy of innovation, advising, custom related solutions and long lasting partnership with its customers lead to more and more international contacts through Dutch multinationals.
1980 - 1990 | Grown into an international project-oriented organization, specialized in the design, production and installation of complete process production lines, components and process equipment for the food, dairy chemical and pharmaceutical industry, Terlet has become a global player.
1993 - now | Terlet NV is part of the Stibbe Management group in 1993 and serves their clients with a great deal of know-how and expertise, producing high-quality components for the preparation and packaging of foodstuffs, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
The future... Nowadays, Terlet is an important player in dynamic global markets. The philosophy of Mr. Terlet to combine innovation and high quality with superior engineering is still the heart of the Terlet company.
